Our Response to COVID-19
The second wave of Covid-19 (starting April 2021) has devastated the country. The healthcare system is over-burdened, with scarcities in everything from hospital beds to ambulances and oxygen. Medical experts say that this 'second wave' will continue for some more time and that there is also a possibility of a third wave later in 2021. Our country's healthcare infrastructure has been stretched to the limit. Civil society members, samaritans, NGOs and international donors have come to the fore and tried to complement the efforts of the government and the private sector. Our team has been at the forefront in helping infected individuals and their families. Project Asha – Our Covid-19 Relief Project, has so far reached out to more than 20,000 people.
