Shekhar Anand
Shekhar Anand holds an M.Sc from the London School of Economics, UK and postgraduate diploma in Rural Development from India. He has worked with Oxfam, CARE, CIDA and national governments in South and East Asia, Africa, the Middle East and ex-Soviet countries in leading economic justice, food security and gender value chain development programmes. He relocated to India from United Kingdom where he was based for more than eight years as Global Advisor Resilient Livelihoods. He has managed large programmes on sustainable economic development, social development, livelihood recovery in complex situations. He is a resource on developing livelihood programme strategy, sustainable poverty reduction, socio economic programming, private sector engagement and women’s economic leadership initiatives. In addition, he has developed partnerships and multi-stakeholder forums and networks for policy influencing and leveraging. Shekhar is an advocate for supporting young adults with mental health conditions and also a part-time career of his son living with Autism.
